Khushit Shah portrait

Hi, I'm Khushit 👋🏻

I build systems software across virtualization, kernel work, compiler infrastructure, and performance analysis. Most recently I have been working on Linux and QEMU upstream contributions at Nutanix.

Earlier work includes forward-buy modeling at Salesforce, GPU memory system research, MLIR-based compiler work, static analysis, and CUDA optimization.

Reach out if you want to talk about kernel debugging, virtualization, compilers, or performance engineering.

Root-caused and fixed a complex KVM split irqchip issue affecting guest EOI handling, and contributed the fix upstream to the Linux kernel.

Designed and implemented the ARM named CPU model framework for Nutanix virtualization platforms and led its upstreaming efforts to QEMU.

Drove virtualization enablement for next-generation Intel and AMD server platforms, including CPU feature support, validation, and performance evaluation.

Developed models to identify and quantify forward-buy effects in historical sales data.

Generated 100K weeks of synthetic sales data to overcome feature gaps in the real dataset.

Achieved 75% precision and recall, with a mean absolute error of 0.91 on synthetic test data.
